Cairo, November 2008, ARESCO has been awarded two power plant contracts as a subcontractor, which comes in line with the company’s effort to diversify into other heavy industries in addition to cement plants. The first contract was signed with NEW BV –an international manufacturer of boilers- for the commissioning of two boilers in El Atf power station in El Behira, while the second was signed with the Japanese companies Toyota and Toshiba, for supplying and commissioning some parts of their generator systems which are to be supplied for the same project and to Sidy Krir power station project – Alexandria. And abroad, ARESCO pursued cement industry business opportunities in Syria and Algeria.
